Havent updated this in almost a year but this is big news. In about 3 weeks Im moving to Dallas, Tx. to start flying with a fairly large construction company called Oscar Renda. They have a fleet of 4 or 5 aircraft, 2 of which I will be piloting. Im super stoked These are pictures of the actual planes I'll fly (besides the interior shot although it looks similar) ( Jump In ) |

Im having a great time in Los Angeles. Pictures to come soon. Got in thursday night around 11:30 here. Woke up early friday and went to universal studios hollywood. there i proceeded to accomplish one of my life goals. there has been a film, one film that i can quote from beginning to end. a masterpiece so epic it spawned two horrible sequels. i, of course, and talking about the one and only jurassic park. ever since the jurassic park ride opened up years back; it had always been one of my life goals to ride it. it was rather existential. im supposed to meet up with the assistance chief pilot of a major air charter company out here next week...should be home thursday. west virginia
so its been a long few days. flown to a bunch of cities and seen a lot of beautiful things. then i came to west virginia. i am in parkersberg which is in the north west part of the state near ohio. whilst flying in, the one thing that i noticed was the fact that there was nothing to notice. trees, mobile homes, a lot of dirt. and thats about it. oh yea i saw a power plant. anyways, the terminal which i am currently sitting in looks not like a gathering place for wealthy individuals who can frivolously spend their cash chartering expensive aircraft but more like the regional gather hall for the KKK. seriously there is a podium in front of me. i bet thats where the grand dragon stands. everyone here looks like cletus from the simpsons. ok nap time. July 4th I got my commercial multi engine rating and now i am officially done with all my flight training. Ive been sending out tons of resumes and hope to get a job flying corporate or charter for a few operators in concord and charlotte douglas. Ive been entertaining the idea of flying for a regional airline. it would be fun but the pay is terrible, plus id hardly have any time off. ( Jump In ) |

jimmy eat world was incredible. they have been one of my favorite bands for the past few years and it was really a great experience seeing them in a "small" environment. it brought back some bitter-sweet memories and feelings. im a very nostalgic person and hearing some of their songs reminded me of a lot of certain people, places, events from the past. i dont know, its hard to describe and we all know im not one with words; im probably the least articulate person you will ever meet. More than Cookies I was cleaning the kitchen and discovered this picture of the band from an article in our local paper several years ago. Our son Joe is the third one from the left. A Closing Skyline "disbanded" several years ago but the memories linger on. Memories of head banging music and pictures dancing off the walls. Memories of teens running up and down the steps to grab one more handful of cookies. Memories of our kitchen becoming a safe place for teens to share their hearts, their hurts and their dreams. When we agreed to host the band I had no idea our home would become the gathering place for physically and spiritually hungry teens. All the boys are now young men now and busy pursuing college degrees and or careers. There aren't any teens in our home anymore, our basement is quiet and all of the band equipment has been removed. That was an exciting and noisy time in the life of our family but I remember it with a grateful heart. Thank you my sweet Jesus for providing me the opportunity to feed the band more than cookies. I LOVE my mom <333 (3 Started A Mosh | Jump In ) |
